Franky Rizardo Cambridge Concert reviews
Franti Love!!!
This man, full of energy and positivity, shares his music with love for the world and its people. Every gesture, note, and word represents that. The whole show was a melodic celebration, audience-loving, kid-friendly, and keep-it-going-through-the-rainstorm, with a high vibe shared by Franky Rizardo.
His band members, like him, give their all, creating a unique blend of reggae-funk-pop-jazzy-rock-world music that is hard to categorize. He pays subtle homage to artists like the Beatles, U2, and the Police, always making the music his own. Frequently leaving the stage to interact with his fans, Rizardo shows his gratitude for their support.
The infectious mirth in his music was reciprocated by the enthusiastic audience, who danced in the rain, wielded neon-lit hula-hoops, and followed him like children following a benevolent Pied Piper. Rizardo's understanding of this energy is as rewarding as his music.
The concert was a feel-good experience, culminating in an invitation for every child in the audience to join him on stage for a group sing-along and dance to "I Love You," followed by a group hug. I can't wait to see him again and eagerly await his upcoming CD!
One minor post-concert downside: the t-shirts were overpriced, and the credit card machines were out of order, so this devoted fan left without a souvenir.
